What are the Benefits of Botox/Dysport?
Botox and Dysport are both neuromodulators that block the transmission of nerve signals to the muscle, resulting in weakened or paralyzed muscles that can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions. They work similarly, using slightly different molecules to block the transmission at the neuromuscular junction.
So, what is the difference between Botox and Dysport?
During your consultation with Jennifer Fick, DNP, the appropriate neuromodulator will be selected based on your specific facial needs and desired outcomes. Both you and Jenn will collaborate to determine the best course of action. Scout Aesthetics offers treatment options for various areas of the face, including glabellar lines (frown lines between the eyebrows), horizontal forehead lines, and crow's feet around the eyes. These injections can provide a smoother appearance of the forehead, lift the brows, and open the eyes. Additionally, other areas can be treated, such as the masseter muscle, to alleviate symptoms of TMJ, jaw pain, clenching, grinding, and headaches. Neurotoxin injections can also be used to address less common areas such as the border of the lip, bunny lines on the nose, gummy smiles, the DAO muscle (which pulls down on the corners of the mouth), the chin, platysmal bands in the neck (for a smoother and lifted appearance), and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating of the underarms, palms, and soles of the feet).
