The Great Reset
People don't choose a filler dissolver because they've suddenly changed their mind about looking good. Usually it's because they’ve realized more isn't always better. Hyaluronic acid filler is supposed to integrate into your tissue, but sometimes it sticks around too long or moves to the wrong spot. After years of getting cosmetic injectables, the face can start looking heavy or pillowy. At Scout Aesthetics, I use filler dissolver to break down old product and get your face back to its actual shape. It’s often the first step in a better treatment plan for skin health.
Precision Correction
Filler dissolver is a specialized medical injection containing hyaluronidase, a concentrated natural enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers.
Your body naturally produces this enzyme, so we’re using a more concentrated form to achieve the effect in a specific area. When injected, the filler dissolver disrupts the chemical bonds of the hyaluronic acid filler, allowing your body to naturally reabsorb and eliminate it within 24 to 48 hours.

Restoring Balance
The world of beauty is moving away from big, dramatic looks and toward skin health. If you have filler migration or old product sitting in your tissue, it can actually get in the way of your results.
I often suggest a filler dissolver reset before we start treatments like Sculptra or Radiesse. By clearing out the fillers that have moved, we make sure your new collagen is building on a clean foundation. It’s a smarter way to handle aging.
Finding Your Natural Look Again
While most patients ask for it for their lip fillers, a filler dissolver can be used on almost any area where hyaluronic acid doesn't look right anymore.
Restoring the Face You Recognize
Using a filler dissolver does more than just fix a look, it helps your face stay healthy. This enzyme is very specific. It only targets the most common type of filler, and it won't hurt your fat cells.
Am I a Good Candidate for a Filler Dissolver?
Most people choose this when they feel their appearance has started to look done or fake. You are a good candidate if you don’t like your old results, have filler migration, or want to rejuvenate your skin texture without looking puffy.
During your consultation, Jennifer Fick, DNP, will check your health history to make sure you won't have allergic reactions. We don't do this procedure if you are allergic to bee stings or if the injected product wasn't a hyaluronic acid type.
Your Treatment Experience
When you visit our Louisville clinic, the experience is professional but easy. Jennifer Fick, DNP, maps out the injection site and uses small amounts of the filler dissolver. You should expect a quick sting when the enzyme goes in, but we use a strong numbing cream before the treatment, so it doesn't hurt much. The recovery time is minimal, but you should plan for several days of swelling and maybe some bruising.
The Brief Phase of Swelling
Even though the filler dissolver works naturally, you will have some downtime. You will look more swollen for about 6 to 12 hours, this is a common reaction. By the second day, the swelling, redness, and bruising start to go away, and your youthful face comes back.
It’s normal to feel like you’ve lost volume at first. You’ve just gotten used to the extra filler. We wait 14 days before we do any more work with Botox or new dermal fillers. This makes sure the filler dissolver is totally gone, and we can see the full results.
The Scout Difference
Patients come to me for a filler reversal because they trust the precision.
I’m a Doctorate of Nursing Practice, and I bring the same standards I learned in the Pediatric ICU to every injection. We aren't just melting filler, we are looking at your long-term skin health and your anatomical balance.

HA, your body replaces it in about a day. Your skin texture stays safe.
For small spots in the lips or cheeks, one visit is usually enough. If you have a lot of filler, you might need two visits of filler dissolver to achieve a full reset.
The injection has a quick sting. We use numbing cream to make sure you feel as little pain as possible during the procedure.
Like all injectable treatments, there are risks of bruising or swelling. This is why you need an expert medical provider like Jennifer Fick, DNP, to keep things safe.
Most patients see signs of swelling go away in several days. You’ll see the full results of the filler reversal after two weeks.
